For over 30 years, Bill has managed employee, executive and marketing communications, and public relations, covering both department and project responsibilities for multinational companies. He uses a pragmatic, problem-solving approach to plan and deliver communication that supports and advances business goals and meets time and budget commitments. His strengths include: project management, executive communications, employee communications and writing.
Corporate and Consulting Experience
For many years, Bill served as employee communications manager for a Fortune 200 manufacturing company with $10 billion in sales and 22,000 employees. He developed and managed the company’s comprehensive internal communications plan and led the executive communications program involving speeches and presentations for internal and external audiences. Earlier he was assistant manager of advertising and public relations for an engineering-construction company. More recently, as an independent consultant, Bill has completed a variety of communication assignments for a large pharmaceutical firm, a regional bank and a major university.
Professional Involvement
Bill served on the board of directors of the Communication Leadership Exchange (formerly the Council of Communication Management) for several years. Prior to that, he was a chapter officer of the International Association of Business Communicators.
